The peninsula is just an hour from Adelaide, making it a popular weekend destination for those living in the city. However, no matter when you visit, the Fleurieu will surprise you with its rolling hills that plunge into the ocean, abundance of wildlife and delicious food and wine. Where to stay on the Fleurieu Peninsula

There’s plenty of towns and places to stay on the Fleurieu Peninsula. From quiet little coastal towns to popular major hubs like Victor Harbour, there’s options for all different type of trips.

Victor Harbour is the major town on the Fleurieu. It’s located on the southern coast of the peninsula and is bustling all year round, but particularly in summer. Closer to Adelaide, you’ll find the beach towns Noarlunga, Aldinga, Port Willunga and Sellicks. This is where you’ll find some of the nicest beaches, but they can be extremely busy on weekends.

You also can’t forget the wine region of McLaren Vale. There’s so many great little cellar doors and vineyards, open for delicious meals and wine tastings. Some of these properties also offer unique B&Bs and lodges, if you want an indulgent weekend away.

Further down the peninsula, you’ll find quieter towns like Cape Jervis, Yankalilla and Normanville. You’ll also notice there’s plenty of rugged landscape and farms with very little in terms of settlements or shops. So, whether you want to stay in a bustling beachfront town or escape to the countryside, the Fleurieu Peninsula has plenty of options.

Located right in Old Noarlunga, this super cute and cosy wooden cabin is the perfect place to stay on the Fleurieu Peninsula for couples. The one bedroom cabin features a large double bed, private bathroom, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, and a beautifully little sunroom with a hammock.

Located on Tapanappa Road just outside the boundary of Deep Creek National Park, these award winning, eco-friendly lodges are a great place to escape into the coastal bush for a few days. The architecturally designed, two bedroom lodges can sleep a maximum of four people.
